   >>  Newsweek Magazine has ranked JBHS as one of the top schools in the nation (636 out of 1500).      

   >>  Seniors, Deadline for submitting scholarships to Guidance is December 1.    

   >>  Congratulations to Mr. Doughtery's and Mr. Paul's Music Department for being selected as one of six
          schools in Florida to be named finalists in the 2010 "Grammy Foundation’s Signature Schools Program". 
          Winning schools receive grant funding and the prestigious National Grammy Signature School status. 

   >>  Congratulations to Coaches Sawtelle and Vinette!  The Girls Varsity Volleyball team won Regionals. 
          They are playing in the State competition on November 20 and 21, at the Lakeland Civic Center.  

   >>  There is no school on Friday (Nov 20).

   >>  Drama students are presenting "Butterflies are Free", November 18 to 22.    Here is the schedule.

   >>  Food for Families is underway!  Bring your non-perishable food items to your 3rd Block classes.

   >>  Yearbooks.  Last date for seniors to purchase ads is Nov 24; last date to purchase a yearbook is Jan 18.

   >>  Here are Science Fair guidelines.  The fair is December 1 and 2.
