Television Production

Program Overview

The Television Production program prepares students for employment in the film and video industry. Students will learn to plan, shoot, and edit a variety of program formats. The curriculum covers both the technical and creative aspects of production employing a variety of community-based projects, location shoots and studio productions.

Course Sequence

  • Television Production 1: grades 9 to 12
  • Television Production 2: grades 9 to 12
  • Television Production 3: grades 10 to 12
  • Television Production 4: grades 10 to 12
  • Television Production 5: grades 11 to 12
  • Television Production 6: grades 11 to 12

Workforce Application

A student who completes each of the following classes earns the corresponding Occupational Completion Point (OCP) and Industry Classification title:

  • Television Production 3:  OCP A, Studio Assistant

  • Television Production 6: OCP B, Studio Technician
